When you arrive

Kiev


Borispol International Airport is about 30 km from downtown Kiev. Most international flights arrive here. For more information go to www.airport-borispol.kiev.va

Taxi
A taxi will cost you around HR 100-120 to get to the city centre from the airport. Make sure you negotiate a price before you get in.

Bus
The bus terminal is located at Ploshcha Peremohy where an airport bus operates services to the city centre every 30 minutes and it will take around 1 hour.

Lviv


Lviv International Airport is located 6km from the city centre. It’s going through a €200 million development, as its gearing up for the 2012 European Football Championships. For more information on the airport go to www.avia.lviv.ua

Taxi

Taxis are located outside the terminal building and it will cost you around HR 70 to get to the city centre. Make sure before you get in you negotiate the price first. The journey time is approximately 20 minutes.

Trolleybus

Another option is taking the trolleybus into the city centre and it only costs HR 1. The journey time is 40 minutes, but it’s more of an adventure. When you take the trolleybus make sure to buy your tickets before getting on or from the conductor and also be sure to validate them, or you might face a big fine.

Lviv’s Central Rail Station is the most popular way people arrive into the city. It’s one of the most beautiful stations in all of Eastern Europe and it’s defiantly worth a few photos.

Taxis are located outside the main entrance and it will cost you around HR 25-30 to get to the city centre. Make sure before you get in you negotiate the price first. The journey time is approximately 10 minutes.

Trolleybus

Another option is taking the trolleybus into the city centre and it only costs HR 1. The journey time is 20 minutes, but it’s more of an adventure. The best trolleybus to take is number 1 to Petra Doroshenka Street (6th stop), which is just around the corner from the main area of the city. On the way back to the station take trolleybus number 9. When you take the trolleybus make sure to buy your tickets before getting on or from the conductor and also be sure to validate them, or you might face a big fine.
