When you arrive in Spain


Barcelona del Prat International Airport is located 12km southwest of the city centre. There is taxi and buses outside the terminal building that will take you to the city centre. Buses leave every 15 – 20 minutes.

Renfe trains ( make the 20-minute journey to Barcelona’s Sants station every half hour.  Tickets are €1.25.


Taxis are relatively inexpensive and the trip will cost you around €15-25 and the journey time is around 25 minutes.


The Aerobus stops outside each terminal every 15 minutes and heads straight for Plaça Catalunya.  Tickets will cost you €3.60




Girona Airport

Girona Airport is 103km North East of Barcelona and about 1hr 15 minutes bus ride to the city centre of Barcelona. Ryan Air is the airline that uses this airport the most, so if you are flying with them you will more than likely be flying into Girona.

The Barcelona Bus company is the most convenient method of transport between Girona Airport and Barcelona. The Barcelona Bus service runs independence to Ryan Air, but they have arranged there departures and arrivals to coincide with Ryan Air flights.

This bus service stops right outside the airport and will take you to Estacio d’ Autobusos Barcelona Nord (Barcelona’s main bus terminal) in Barcelona city. From there take the metro to whereeer you have to go. The nearest metro station to the bus terminal is Arc De Triomf (Red Line, L1).

Ticket prices for Barcelona Bus are 12 Euros for a single and 21 Euros for a return, but keep in mind these prices can change. For more information on Barcelona Bus go to






Madrid Barajas International Airport is 7km northeast of the city centre. There are taxi and buses outside the terminal building that will take you to the city centre.

Underground line 8 (pink) links Barajas airport with the city centre Nuevos Ministerios metro and suburban train station, in around12 minutes. For a single ticket it will cost €1. Their website is

Madrid’s red-stripped taxis charge about €20 from the airport to the city centre (plus €4.20 airport surcharge).  The journey takes about 20 minutes outside peak hours with Tele-taxi (tel. +34 91 371 2131).

EMT’s airport buses leave the airport for Plaza Colón terminal every 10 minutes, journey time is about 30 minutes.  Tickets will cost around €2.50.





Valencia Manises International Airport is located 8km west of the city centre. Rail, taxi and buses are available outside the terminal building that will take you to the city cente.


The train station is a 300-metre walk from the airport.  Trains run to the main Estacion del Norte every 20 minutes (hourly on weekends).

A taxi ride to the centre of town will cost you €12-15 and there will be a tariff of €2.50 if you are traveling from the airport.


The MetroBus takes a 45-minute indirect route to Valencia’s bus station and it departs every 12 minutes.





Fares to Palma are metered but fixed prices are applied to all other destinations, so make sure to sort it out before you start your journey. It should cost you around €20 get to Palma Nova.

A regular service (service 25) links Son San Juan Airport to central Palma every 15 minutes from 6:20am-2:15am. Tickets cost around €1.80.





There is a taxi rank outside the front of the building and it will cost you €12 to the centre of Ibiza Town and it will take 10 minutes; San Antonio costs €25 and takes 10 minutes; Santa Eulalia costs €25 and takes 30 minutes.

The airport bus departs every hour from outside the arrivals door.  The journey time is about 20 minutes to Aveninda Isidoro Macabich.
