When you arrive into Italy

Rome


Leonardo da Vinci Civitavecchia Fiumicino International Airport is located 28 km southeast of the city centre. The best way to get into town is by the Stazione Termini direct train, which usually runs hourly from the airport. Ciampino International Airport is located 30km from the city centre and it caters to most of Europe’s low-cost airlines. There are taxis and buses available outside the terminal building. Taxi

A taxi to the city centre will cost you €40 and the journey will take you 40 minutes.


Bus

The COTRAL bus to Anagnina metro station leaves every half hour.  From there take metro Line A to Termini train station in the centre.  The journey is easy but it’s quicker if you take the same CORTAL bus to Ciampino, then a local train to Termini, which runs every 15 minutes.

 

 

Milan


Malpensa International Airport
is one of 3 international airports in the Milan area, but definitely the biggest. Malpensa International Airport is located 43km northwest of the city. Linate International Airport is located 9km east of the city centre. Taxis and buses are available outside the terminal building that will take you to the city. For more information on Linate International Airport go to www.sea-aeroportimilano.it


Taxi

Taxis are available at the Arrivals of Terminal 1 & 2. The trip will take 15-25 minutes and costs around €45 to the city centre.


Bus

Two services run between Linate airport and central Milan.  ATM’s number 73 connects the airport with the Milan underground at San Babila Station.  Tickets cost €1.


Rail


Malpensa Airport is linked to Milan Cadorna Station, by Malpensa Express. Trains depart from Terminal 1 every 30 minutes and the journey time is about 40 minutes.

 

 

 

Venice


Marco Polo International Airport at Tessera, on the mainland is 9km north of Venice and is a 20-minute road trip from the city’s Piazzale Roma. Taxi

A taxi from the airport to Piazzale Roma costs about €30 with Cooperativa Artigiana Radio Taxi


Bus

ATVO (blue) runs an express service (20-minute journey, twice hourly) to Piazzale Roma.  Tickets cost €3. Bus number 5 ACTV (orange) takes longer (30-minute journey, twice hourly) and tickets are €1.

 

 

 

Florence
