Nepal is a landlocked country and this kingdom is famous for being the location of Mount Everest, which has eight of the highest peaks in the world. The country wasn’t well known to the outside world, as its borders had been cut off since 1816 and reopened in the 1950s. The country is very cheap to visit and most of the people that do make it to Nepal come for mountain climbing or hiking. The Nepalese Government has set aside more than 40 per cent of the total area of the country as natural sanctuaries, so there are many beautiful places to visit while you are here.
