Cheung Chau Bun Festival

This event is in celebration of Pak Tai (a god that influences good sailing and fishing). There are Bamboo towers covered in steamed buns are constructed as an offering to the god.


Dragon Boat Festival

June 8th

There are more than 100 teams from around the world that take to the waters around the coast of the city. The event marks the death 2,000 years ago of Chinese national hero Qu Yuan.






July – December

Monkey God Festival

September / October

The birthday of the Monkey God used to be celebrated by running over hot coals. A guy runs over burning coals and climbs up a ladder of knives.



Marco Polo German Bierfest
Hong Kong Islands

This German beer festival in Hong Kong is one of the best in the country. It's not as good as the original beer festival in Munich, but with its beer tents and steins its a festival you don't want to miss.



Wine and Dine Festival
Hong Kong, China

This three-day event will be a spectacular gathering of wine, food, music and fun.
